The Ambleside youth spent the day learning some skills in the kitchen.  The boys enjoyed making pizza from scratch.  Not to be outdone, the girls made a pizza of their own and baked some banana bread.  Nine youth were out in total.]]> https://www.amblesidebaptist.ca/ministries/children-s-ministry/blog/kitchen-skills/ 10002290-10049202 Sat, 10 Feb 2018 21:14:00 +0000 Hope Mission Night The Ambleside youth spent Saturday afternoon volunteering at Hope Mission.  Responsibilities included serving juice, slicing bread, ladling soup and  cleaning dishes.  A tasty meal of stew with rice and bread was served to over 300 homeless in the city core.  Thank you to those who sacrificed their time to help out.

]]> https://www.amblesidebaptist.ca/ministries/children-s-ministry/blog/hope-mission-night/ 10002290-10046862 Sun, 23 Jul 2017 17:17:00 +0000 Pysanky and Pizza On Sunday, the junior and senior high youth had a fun time painting pysanky eggs.  Don't know what a pysanka is?  It is a Ukrainian Easter egg that is decorated by dyeing the eggs, then applying wax to preserve the colour.  The egg is then dyed another color and wax applied again.  Read about Pysanky Eggs on Wikipedia.

For most of the youth it was their first time, but they did a good job as seen below.
